Pius Meet Results

Best all around effort of the season so far.  This followed what I considered the best week of swim practice this week.

Final Score was 129-51 for Varsity and 115-34 for Junior Varsity.

Coach Courtny reminded me that they worked on finishes this week and it was noticeable from the side of the pool on the way the JV team was finishing the races.

If we can stay healthy and make it through the this week’s Homecoming events, we are in position to make a strong run in October.

Good work tonight.

Catholic Memorial Results

Good diving and Good swimming tonight.  After the stats were entered, there were 32 season best.  Those stats are up on the web site.

If you did not hear the final scores, they were Varsity 113-52 and JV 113-29.

We are at about the half way point of the season.  After next week’s dual with Pius and Sprint Meet at Nicolet it will be time to start narrowing our focus on the events we swim.

This will be a key time to not get sick and to stay warm at night.  Although after tonight’s meet, we probably need to break out the long sleeves for swimming/diving in the Polar Cap known as the North Pool.  Might need to try to get some extra sleep if possible.

North Homecoming is this weekend.  KM has theirs next weekend.  Please be safe and stay out of trouble J

Thanks to the timers and the concession stand workers.  Without you, these meets would not run as smooth.

NBE Meet Results

Excellent work all around tonight.

I can tell you that Coach Courtny and talked more than once tonight that it was great to see that the hard work in practice and in dry land is providing an immediate result for most of us.  People that stayed late and worked with the TiVo saw improvement on their starts.

It is not an easy task to have a meet on a school night, but we did a good job tonight and should be proud of that.  But tomorrow is another day, and we must push forward and keep working it.

Stats were just finished being updated.  Counted 34 season best times today.

Special thanks for the scorer’s table, parents that helped timed, and parents that helped at the concession stand.

DSHA Meet Results

Normally this would have been out hours ago but I just now got my second order of drum sticks from Buffalo Wild Wings   ((As a side note I talked to the Manager on my way out and he said there was a scheduling snafu between the guy that does the fund raising and the guy that does scheduling and apologized left and right))

In case you did not hear the score on the way out, Varsity won 120-62, and JV won 108-44.

Divers saw their first official action of the season and were up to the challenge even if Coach Kyle had to do scoring!!

Another solid performance tonight by the swimmers.  There were a great deal of things that we did right, but still enough to correct.   It did look like a good number of us picked up the transition from under water kicking in practice and moving that to stream line position and kicking off turns.  We will need to keep working on because it will become more important as the season goes on.

The other piece is that hard work in the weight room and in dry land as well as being sore from practice with those brutal 150’s and 125’s and 75’s is showing dividends in the meets.  We cannot express enough that the level of hard work and intensity needs to continue.  Maybe we should work on getting the FOUCS jar back!! J

Stats are up to date on the web site minus the relay splits.
